Munich rapid-train to carry airport passengers
Jordan News.Net Thursday 27th March, 2008
In Germany, a new Transrapid high-speed train line will be built between southern Munich and the airport.
The train will cost at least three billion euros, a coast blowout of about 60 percent.
The magnetic levitation line was initially planned to cost 1.85 billion euros, but recalculations had to be made after engineering costs went higher.
The German government has agreed to carry half of the cost.

I think it’s not the cost that’s important, rather MAGLEV is definitely is the future of transportation given the current high oil prices, etc.
Let’s say 100 years from today, all oil are used up... so people may rely heavily to travel by Maglev! instead of airplanes and cars.
