AMMAN, Jan. 17 (Xinhua) -- Jordan on Monday reported 5,039 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total caseload in the kingdom to 1,106,006, the Jordanian Ministry of Health said in a statement.
The ministry also confirmed 18 deaths from the coronavirus, raising the kingdom's COVID-19 death toll to 13,004.
The statement added that there are currently 30,419 active COVID-19 cases in Jordan.
A total of 1,392 recoveries were registered on Monday, taking the total number of recoveries in Jordan to 1,062,642, the statement said.
It added that the total number of people who received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine reached 4,522,121, while 4,117,790 have got their second shots.
